Generally speaking, I’m one of those people that cringes when attention-seekers like Kim Kardashian actually get attention for their antics.  But I just couldn’t let this one go without comment.

She filed litigation against Amazon, MasterCard and Lucova asserting that the use of facial recognition technology to authenticate payments is an infringement on her intellectual property rights.  Since she previously crowned herself “Queen of Selfies”, she apparently believes that the use of a self photograph for authentication within another technology is part of her dominion.  Quote from her official statement: “I know business, and I know the law. My father was a lawyer.”

Sigh.  We all know where this is headed.  Nothing to see here, folks.
