Apple Pay is rolling out support for Visa, Mastercard and Interac accounts issued by seven Canadian banks, including giants BMO and the Royal Bank of Canada (both of whom already offered their own digital payment apps).  Since the launch of Apple Pay in Canada late last year, only American Express cards had been supported.  The service is available to owners of iPhone 6 or later and Apple Watch.  Other Apple devices will support in-app purchases only.

Cards issued by Royal Bank of Canada and CIBC will be supported immediately, with the other banks following soon.

Apple Pay is currently available through participating issuers in Australia, Canada, China, Singapore, UK and United States.
